The story is set in 1990 in a small city near the bank river. Quan Liang is a security guard in a local factory, and has been blamed for all the events that are taking place on the nearby river, no matter how bizarre and supernatural they sounds. The biggest problem is that, indeed, Liang seems to be involved in one way or another with strange events, taking place in the city. But solving the case is even more difficult, by the fact that there are various legends circulating about demons and gold hidden in the city.
